Deadhead your long-blooming perennials for repeat bloom
If you haven't done so already, it's a great time to start getting into a weekly routine of dead-heading long-blooming perennials in your garden. The blooms on most plants will increase if you faithfully do this. Plants such as Coreopsis, Shasta Daisy, 'Stella o'Doro' and 'Happy Returns' Daylily, Roses bushes (Climbers, Hybrid Teas), Centaurea montana, perennial Geraniums and Salvia all benefit from deadheading.
